Germany seeking deal to end EU-US trade dispute - Reuters

Germany’s Economy Minister Peter Altmaier reportedly said on Monday, Germany is seeking to resolve the spat between the US and the European Union (EU) over the US President Trump’s announcement of tariffs on steel and aluminum imports, as cited by Reuters.

The EU is granted exemptions from the US tariffs on the metals until June 1^st.

Altmaier noted: “We need to try to avoid higher tariffs.”
